"Try, always, to treat others with respect and dignity, no matter who they are or how little you feel they deserve it."
Summary: Anyone who has ever had child knows someday, he/she will eventually "leave the nest" so to speak. When this moment finally presents itself, its sometimes difficult find just the right words to say. Though emotions are running rampant, what ends up being said at this precise moment can be some of the most important words a parent can speak to a child, words to live by, ones which will always be remembered. David M. Perkins' book, "Dear Austin: A Letter to My Son
Ramblings: David Perkins' short book, "Dear Austin: A Letter to My Son
Recommendation: I am at a total loss for a decent set of words to string together which could even remotely represent how much I LOVED this! My only disappointment was I didn't have this copy sooner, I would have left it for my son when we dropped him off for college 4 years ago, maybe I still will. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who has a male child leaving for school in the fall. Share it with your son as he leaves for school, its short enough for him to actually read through and the wealth of information is unfathomable.
